Crying during late hours
You have little kids in your house. It's late at night and they can't stop crying. Or you wake up to a crying child as if they'd seen a ghost. Perhaps they have? Maybe you're home alone with your kids and one of them tell you there are other "people" in the house. Perhaps it's late at night and your kid is crying, pointing to the corner of the house saying "monster monster." Maybe you live with an elder and they wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare. What do you in these situations? Dab pog ntxoog are especially nasty in nature, they do things just to do them, just to scare you. Little children and the elderly are most vulnerable. Hungry ghosts and spirits are, in my opinion, the scariest but they come in search of one thing, food. Well, below are a few things we can do to protect our kids and the elderly from forces that are, let's just say, working against us.
1. Someone needs to hold your child. Have them sit in a chair and put a blanket over them. Find a piece of cloth you can use to burn. If you don't have any, paper or napkins will work too. Burn the cloth and wave it over their head. Before the cloth burns completely, throw it outside and toss it away. This technique is especially useful for little children that keep crying at night for no reason. It can also work for the elderly as well.
2. It's late at night (why is it always late at night lol) and you hear thumping or cracks in the floor. Your kid starts crying. What do you do? Well, turn on the lights. Go to the kitchen and grab your broom (khaub rhuab ). Go through your entire house and just sweep the air while saying aloud, "Dab khaub rhuab , today I use you to sweep away not my spirit, but evil spirits, hungry spirits, and bad ghosts that are in this house. Sweep them to wherever they came from." After, simply put the broom next to your room. This is great for when you hear cracks at night, dishes ringing in the kitchen, footsteps in the halls, etc.
3. An intense but yet useful way to cleanse your house, cook up some peeled garlic, red peppers, and oil. Wrap it in a red cloth and wipe it on your doors. Tie the cloth to your door when you're done. If you want, before you wrap it in the cloth, hold the skillet and walk with the garlic pepper throughout the house. You can also just use regular peppers and oil. As a warning, the smell will be very strong. It is believed that ghosts and evil spirits hate the smell.
4. Find a branch of some sort. As a side note, if it's already late at night, I don't recommend going outside lol. Take the branch and just sweep the entire house. Hang this branch on your door on the outside (OUTSIDE). Or you can hang this on your OUTSIDE window as well.
These are just four of many things you can do to "protect" yourself or take caution. As a reminder, when doing any of the above do it with a whole heart and don't be scared.
