The Tiger
Dream 5/6/18
The sun had just set and it was drizzling rain. I was in the back yard with my sister when I heard a large glass object shatter in the front yard. I told my sister to go inside while I check out what happened. I get to the front and there's glass all over the yard. I started to notice sharp pain in my knee and my legs and I look down and notice the glass had already bombed its way into my leg. Literally, INTO my skin. There was blood everywhere. Big chunks of glass found stuck in my skin and into my bone. I was in pain at this point when suddenly my dad yelled out from the window to run. He said to not look back and just run as fast as I can. I look back anyways and there is a huge stripe tiger charging at me. This animal was huge! I ran the other way hoping to get inside the back door. My leg was in so much pain but I knew that if I slowed down or stopped I'll be tiger food! So I ran inside just as the tiger banged it's head in. I manage to shut the door, lock it, and get to the living room. At this point my legs were painted with my own blood. All the window blinds were open and I could see the tiger rotating and shifting directions trying to find a way in. I don't know what happened to the lights, they seemed to have been off. But the moon was brighter than usual, reflecting the tiger's image so I could see. Then, I'd notice that at some points the tiger was walking upright. He turned into Hmong man dressed in Hmong clothes looking through the windows. He was very pale but built very athletically. His face scared me. He had no emotion. His entire eye was black, even the white parts of the eye were black. His eye socket sank deep into his face. His cheek bones looked as if he was starving. He continued to walk around the house and then transition back to being a tiger. This was indeed a tiger that my grandparents told us about, the tiger that scared and killed so many Hmong people in Laos.. The first thing I thought to myself was, "I can't go with this tiger. I won't let him take me." My dad and my sister seemed to be frozen in time. They seemed to be unaware of the situation. They couldn't hear me and at some points just stood, frozen and paralyzed as if time had stood still. I had to crawl around the house trying to shut all the window blinds, pull the curtains, lock the doors, and without a gun I was forced to get a knife in an attempt to protect myself should this Hmong tiger get inside. At one point this Hmong man was just standing by the kitchen window, eyes wide open, shoulders buffed and straight back just looking at me. He transitioned back to being a tiger and was trying to claw his way through the walls. ... I thought to myself, "I can't defeat him on my own.. If my shaman spirits are here, please come help. Please."
5:32am. I woke up.
